Independent Study Working Woman's Outfit

I made this working-class outfit as part of an independent study in 2016 at the end of my time at Knox College, to bookend the earlier project. I conducted extensive research on the dress of English working-class women from the 1560s-1580s, and constructed pieces from the skin out with materials and techniques that were as historically accurate as I could afford. The outfit included a smock, kirtle, sleeves, apron, jacket, forehead cloth, coif, and stockings. I am also wearing a purchased hat and shoes.
